The park was created in 1996 by combining the former China Beach Provincial Park, Loss Creek Park, Parkinson Creek Park and Botanical Beach Park and the trail connecting them into one park.

spans three sections along a 130 km of wild coastline. It begins at Port Renfrew in the South and Tofino to the North. These three are Long Beach, the Broken Group Islands and the West Coast Trail.

Botanical Beach Provincial Park

Hundreds of species of plants and animals. The organisms

that live here must be able to handle a wide range of

conditions. When the tide is out there are large changes in

temperature, predators, food sources and salinity.

Port Renfrew has a small park in what is called “Beach Camp” Look for the BC Ambulance Station when you come into town and turn right, then left, and follow the road. You can not miss it!

French Beach Provincial Park

Camping east of the China Beach day-use area. Next to the Juan de Fuca trailhead. Beach is 20 min walk from parking lot. Hike in camping at Mystic Beach, Bear Beach, Chin Beach and Sombrio Beach.
